Thoughts on piracy

Tim O'Reilly of O'Reilly books fame has a very interesting article on Piracy called "Piracy is Progressive Taxation, and Other Thoughts on the Evolution of Online Distribution"

It covers some very valid points about piracy vs obscurity, and the overall effect piracy has.

I own close to 400 CD's now, and I used Napster quite frequently when it was around. Since Napsters demise many seasons ago, I have probably only purchased 10-20 CD's.

I eagerly await iTunes Music Store (iTMS) in Canada.
