Gentoo is porting Portage to OSX, it will compete head on with Fink and DarwinPorts. Supposedly its a very good port manager, but is it better than DarwinPorts? You all know how I feel about fink :)
When it comes out, I might give it a shot, who knows we may have a new winner on our hands.
