Got this from Slashdot, supposedly the University of Calgary is going to teach a select group of students how to write viruses "It's kind of a touchy subject if the world is losing trillions of dollars a year because of lockdown time or whatever, to say 'Hey, we're going to teach the students how to create new viruses,' " said Seneker, co-ordinator of community relations. It seems the purpose of it is to learn how viruses are made and work in order to stop them which is not a new idea, just a good one.
