Weblogs.com Goes To Verisign

Popular ping server weblogs.com that also hosts audio.weblogs.com (ping server for podcasts) has sold yesterday for 2.3M to internet bigwig Verisign!

I'm not sure what this means for weblogs.com in the long term, hopefully they have a plan that includes keeping it running ;) But its good news to RSS and podcasting grand-pubah Dave Winer! There is an interview over at PaidContent.org that outlines some of the details of the deal.
